Dear Members and Friends of the BCCH Ohana,
During the first week in March 2019, due to COVID lockdown requirements, BCCH ceased its organizational activities and has essentially remained dormant over two years past. Successful COVID mitigation and vaccination efforts by health and diocesan officials reduced the rates of contagion sufficiently to allow a controlled, guarded return to church related gathering activities. The City and Diocese currently operates within Tier 3 of Honolulu’s COVID-19 Reopening Framework. In April 2021, the BCCH Spiritual Directors and Administrative Board Members approved an effort to reactivate BCCH organizational activities while safeguarding against the on-going threat of COVID-19 transmission. A planned Eucharistic Celebration will function as the primary impetus for promoting the resumption of BCCH planning activities and for bringing BCCH Ohana members and friends together again, in-person or virtually, as in a family reunion. This Mass will also serve to re-energize, refresh, and nurture our relationships with God and with one another and to experience again the Spirit and the Lord’s presence within our Community. Detailed information about this planned Eucharistic Celebration expressed as a Thanksgiving/Prayer/Reunion Mass is presented below. The flyer displays brief overall information. Please carefully review the Mass information, instructions, and procedures especially those pertaining to in-person and virtual participation, sequence of events, and COVID mitigation requirements. Thank you for your BCCH participation and support. Blessings, Gregory Dela Cruz BCCH President
